Small Farm Canada is pleased to work with co-op students each semester because we believe in training top talent.
We believe that it not only helps to prepare students for the workforce, it also helps Small Farm Magazine stay up to date with a variety of small farming trends, and energizes our organization. The co-op students we hire are typically studying business or agriculture, and assist us with a variety of tasks. We believe the ability to communicate clearly is an essential skill, thus one of the tasks assigned students is to write articles about trends and issues within the small farming community – it is a great way for them to be exposed to the agriculture industry and the many sub-sectors within the industry
