MyLand's innovative "Soil-as-a-Service" strategy extracts live, natural and native microorganisms straight from the grower's soil and uses specialized technology systems to swiftly reproduce those organisms in vast quantities on-site. As more an more emphasis is returning to the topic of soil health (see Small Farm Canada Resources) and regenerative agriculture, this technology could be a key element for agriculture success in the future.
Its work has been noticed. MyLand Company LLC, based in Phoenix, Arizona, has signed a conditional letter-of-intent with Ag Growth International Inc. AGI will receive a minority equity stake in MyLand as well as a board seat when the deal closes.
AGI will work with MyLand to implement at least five new MyLand systems at grain facilities across North America in exchange for an equity share in the company. AGI expects to negotiate final manufacturing, distribution, engineering, and software service support agreements with MyLand following satisfactory technical and commercial validation of these initial installations.
The transaction's financial terms were not disclosed.
Global food infrastructure including seed, fertilizers, grain, feed, and food processing systems are all supported by AGI's physical equipment and digital technology solutions. AGI has manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, India, France, and Italy and distributes its product globally.
