Exposure to glyphosate-based herbicides, such as Roundup® and Ranger Pro®, leads to a higher risk of acquiring Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, according to a meta-analytical study published in February 2019. The scientists reviewed the findings of previous studies that examined the link between contact with the herbicides, mostly occupational exposure by farm workers, and Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is unclear whether glyphosate itself, another ingredient in the herbicide, or the combination of the herbicide with the other ingredients is the carcinogen. The scientists also found that these herbicides are ubiquitous in our environment; residues have been found in drinking water, bathing water and many foods, including baby formula.
