I used to wonder why my husband insisted on saving buckets from the products he uses, but no more. I am constantly using buckets to carry soil/compost/rocks/water/transplants – you name it.
Different heights and sizes are also good for different jobs.
In this case the large 20 litre pail is good for long boughs and more delicate short, stemmed greenery is more suitable in the shorter walled bucket. Another consideration is the density of the objects being carried, i.e., heavy stuff in a heavy-duty bucket.
There is really no difference between a bucket and a pail – they can be used interchangeably as a descriptor of this tool. A difference is in the way that bucket in particular is used in language…like the ever popular “Kick the Bucket” (or unpopular depending on how you see it).
