Lightweight, precise and ergonomic, the Growers & Co. stirrup hoe is designed for shallow cultivation and effortless weed cutting.
Equipped with a thin oscillating blade with two sharp edges, this superior quality hoe allows for complete weeding of the soil when working between crop rows on an organic vegetable farm.
The tool is mounted on a long, strong wooden handle (59”) that allows the grower to work in a comfortable position, keeping a straight back. It also allows leverage of force to affectively eliminate in-row weeds.
For optimal use, the hoe must be used when the weeds are in their infancy and while their roots are still underdeveloped.
The Stirrup Hoe is available in three sizes: 3 ¼”, 5” and 7”.
They feature a swiveling, double-sided cutting blade with a solid ash handle. Handles are replaceable when worn out making it a sustainable choice. The tool is designed and Canadian made in Quebec.
It is important to maintain and sharpen the blade frequently to optimize use. Instructional videos are available through Growers & Co. and the Market Gardener Institute.
