This week’s cool tool comes compliments of my friend Janet.
We work together and she thought I might be interested in the sprouts on her sandwich. She grew them with a kit on her kitchen counter in less than a week and it was fun.
It is hard to beat the “local-ness” of your own kitchen counter. The kits contained everything she needed to grow 12 batches of sprouts. It also comes with sprout growing instructions on YouTube.
Janet’s kit came from Four Season Greens of Muskoka with their mission of “Fresh, local food: making it available and accessible year-round, for everyone.”
They supply greens and sprouts to many restaurants, specialty food and catering outlets in Muskoka (Northern Ontario).
