The latest are the DC105 and the DC125.
These two pieces of equipment are centre pivot and the hydraulic hose passes through the tongue instead of on top, giving the mowers a cleaner look.
Case IH also changed the cutter bar, said Alexis David-Dandurand, livestock product specialist with Case IH.
“We’ve changed the design of the rock guard,” he said. “The modules are just sitting a bit lower. The knives are a bit longer as well, so basically it allows us to cut about half an inch shorter than our previous series.”
The windrow forming shields are larger as well.
This helps provide smooth windrow edges with less bunching.
“It allows you to redirect the crop exactly where you want it to be,” David-Dandurand said. “There are also some fins in the back to redirect the crop in the exact direction that you want.”
Other features of the DC105 and DC125 include smaller cutting widths. This provides flexibility to use lower horsepower tractors.
