Case IH has a new planter for farmers in the market for a new one.
The Early Riser 2120 comes in three different configurations – six or eight rows with 30-inch spacings, or 11 rows with 15-inch spacings.
And the latter model can be customized further, said Dave Brennan, a planter marketing manager with Case IH.
“That 11 row, 15-inch can then convert to six rows (with) 30 (inch spacings),” he said.
Each model comes standard with a 1.9-bushel hopper with an option to upgrade to a 3.0-bushel hopper.
The 11-row model is also unique in how the frame is configured.
The wheel out front design allows farmers to raise the toolbar high enough to access the row units for serviceability and provide weight during transport.
On the 30-inch models of the Early Riser 2120, the wheels will be rearward facing.
A pad beside will support front subframe mounting.
“That’s going to warehouse that best in class, up to 6,000 pounds of carrying capacity of dry fertilizer,” Brennan said.
The liquid fertilizer option allows for tanks carrying 500 gallons of product.
Another benefit of the Early Riser 2120 is the streamlined technology.
Farmers may have had to use multiple sources for different upgrades. But many of those are integrated into 2120.
“Historically, growers utilizing a rigid trailing configuration have had to retrofit that row unit technology onto the planter using multiple vendors, whether that technology was an automated advanced downforce system or in-cab controls of residue management,” Brennan said. “All this is going to factory fit onto the Early Riser 2120.”
