While small farms do not usually have storage bins, we are often involved in helping family and friends at harvest time. That is why Small Farm Canada believes it is important to raise awareness about grain safety. As part of BeGrainSafe Week activities, the Canadian Grain Safety Association (CASA) is hosting a free online forum dedicated to grain safety. The forum will be held on August 15 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm (ET Time).
IT will feature Dan Marsellus, Fire Chief of Kneehill County, Alberta, and BeGrainSafe Master Trainer, and Catherine Rylatt, co-founder of the Grain Handling Safety Coalition, USA, who will discuss the importance of grain safety. They will also address the dangers and risks associated with grain handling, and the frequency and impact of grain-related incidents.
This is your chance to learn from leading experts in the field and learn best practices for grain safety. This event is open to everyone, but registration is required to attend. BeGrainSafe Forum Registration.
