I dropped by BCS’s booth at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show to have a look at what is new and some of the options available for working with two-wheels.
It seems there are a lot of options. The tractor with the mulcher attachment (pictured), is just a fraction of where there is to offer when it comes to two-wheel tractors attachments.
But what struck me seeing them “in person” was that they looked manageable and relatively simple to operate, even by little old me:). Two-wheel tractors also come in a range of sizes, engine and transmission options as well seated and un-seated rides.
I guess it all comes down to the jobs that need to be done on your land and for me, I think by season. I would like it for snow removal as well as to help plant, mow and more.
The size of the machine lends itself to working in smaller areas like high-tunnels and greenhouses, which ticks a box. It is also easy to see the applications to gardening or market gardening as well as an assist in areas the big machine can’t access.
The financial outlay can be significantly different from conventional equipment as well.
