There’s no shortage of jobs on a farm or acreage, and the Kubota BX23S can help complete many of them.
That’s because this 21.6 HP sub-compact jack-of-all-trades tractor can be outfit with more than 40 factory implements including loaders, snow blowers, backhoes, rotary tillers, and mid-mount mowers.
The LA340 front loader and the BT603 backhoe come standard with the tractor.
The LA340 has a maximum lift height of about 72 inches at the pivot pin and supports a lift capacity around 739 lbs. And the bucket is equipped with a skid steer quick attach system, which supports other attachments with that feature.
The backhoe supports a digging depth over six feet, and a 140-degree swing arc.
A rotatable seat allows for an unobstructed view regardless of using an attachment or implement.
Powering the tractor is a Kubota D902 diesel engine. This engine is also found in other equipment like Kubota’s RTV900 and Bobcat’s MT55.
And the tractor’s overall construction is designed with heavy work in mind.
“It has a reinforced chassis to really handle that backhoe operation on this machine,” said Hylke Talsma, a product marketing specialist with Kubota.
The operator station is designed with ease of use in mind.
Operators will find a two-range hydrostatic transmission with forward and reverse treadle pedals
And the open and flat design includes a single joystick for the front loader and separate controls for the backhoe.
The backhoe controls have four levers – two for the stabilizers and two for the boom or bucket.
The ROPS keep operators safe and can fold down to store the tractor in smaller buildings or garages.
