Small farmers and acreage owners in the market for a compact tractor in the 25-horsepower range may want to consider the John Deere 3025E.
The 3025E is the smallest in John Deere’s 3E Series.
But what it may lack in size, the tractor makes up for in performance coming from its Yanmar diesel engine.
This includes standard four-wheel-drive and differential lock to support grip on various terrains and for the toughest jobs.
Engaging the differential lock is done by partially pressing the single brake pedal. Pushing the pedal completely engages the brakes.
The open operator station houses the key tractor controls.
It’s here users will find the two-range hydrostatic transmission, loader control, and a PTO switch to engage the rear 540 PTO. A lever below the seat helps operators switch between 2WD and 4WD.
The high range on the transmission supports a maximum forward speed of 23 km/h.
And twin-touch pedals allow for easy forward and reverse operation.
The 3025E also boasts versatility due to the multiple implements and attachments it supports.
These include:
- The 300E loader with optional mechanical self-leveling,
- The AP11F pallet fork,
- The LR2084 landscape rake,
- The LS2004 3-point mounted sprayer, and
- The SB1164 rear 3-point hitch snow blower
On the back of the operator station is the foldable ROPS with a lighting kit.
In addition, an optional ShadePro canopy can be installed for those long days in the sun or to protect you from debris.
Another safety feature is the operator presence system.
If an operator leaves the seat when the tractor is in gear, or when the PRO is engaged, the engine will shut down.
