Small farmers or acreage owners looking to enter the sub-compact tractor market can explore the GC1723E from Massey Ferguson.
Part of Massey’s GC1700 Series, the GC1723E and its 22.5 hp 3-cylinder Iseki diesel engine is a good entry-level option.
Massey describes it as “the standard, get-the-job done tractor.”
Supporting operators to get their jobs done are the multiple available attachments.
On the front, users can select the FL1805 loader, which comes standard with a quick-attach system.
The FL1805 provides a max lift height of 74 inches at the pivot pin, and a lift capacity of 922 pounds (418 kg) at the pin.
Snow blowers, snow blades, and rotary brooms are also available to help increase the versatility of the tractor.
For owners with lots of lawn work to do, the GC1723E also supports three mid-mount mowers.
Those are a 54-inch side discharge, a 54-inch mulching, and a 60-inch drive over.
And on the back, the tractor can be equipped with the BH2720 backhoe.
It comes in three bucket width sizes.
12 inches is standard with 10 and 16 inches available as options.
The operator station is equipped with all the necessary controls to complete a day’s work with the tractor.
Users will find independent forward and reverse pedals, and the loader joystick to their right. 4WD engagement, implement lift speed, and deck height adjust controls are under the seat.
And helping keep operators safe is a two-post fixed (non-folding) ROPS, designed to fit under a standard 7-foot garage door.
