Why walk around your acreage when you can drive?
John Deere’s XUV Gator lineup is ideal for quick travel and transport around the property.
“Our producers tell us that they spend a lot of time in utility vehicles on their farms,” said Eric Halfman, go-to-market manager for Gator utility vehicles.
The Gator XUV lineup includes the two-passenger 560E and its 500 lb. cargo capacity, and the four-passenger XUV855M S4 and its 1,000-pound cargo capacity.
The 560E has a top speed of about 28 mph (45 km/h) while the XUV855M S4 can reach a top speed of 32 mph (52 km/h).
Multiple models are available as an open station or in a cab configuration.
And John Deere’s website can help customers choose an appropriate model based on a user’s needs.
Newer Gators will support some precision ag technology.
A StarFire receiver can be installed on both the open station and cabbed models, allowing users to take advantage of boundary mapping and AutoTrac capabilities through John Deere’s G5e display.
The receiver can be mounted on the roof of the cab or onto the protective structure of open stations.
Gators can also be equipped with implements and attachments to complete jobs around the farm or acreage.
Multiple snow removal blades are available for those snowy days.
Tow behind sprayers support product applications to trees and plants.
And winches can help pull heavy tree trunks.
