Oxbo, a leader in specialty harvesting equipment, has introduced AutoFill, a new on-harvester automation technology for its 7440 and 7450 blueberry harvesters. AutoFill is designed to reduce labour by up to 75% and improve harvester efficiency.
This innovation has been named one of the Top 10 new products at the 2025 World Ag Expo in California.
Building on Oxbo’s EvenFill technology, AutoFill aims to streamline the harvesting process for both fresh market and processed blueberry growers. It reduces on-machine labor by automatically de-stacking empty lugs, filling them to a pre-set weight, and indexing full lugs for stacking. This automation results in more consistent lug weights, boosting throughput at the packhouse.
“We are pleased that our new AutoFill technology has been named a Top 10 new product at the 2025 World Ag Expo. An automated solution, AutoFill streamlines blueberry harvesting, improves accuracy, and dramatically increases efficiency,” said Cory Venable, Director of Sales & Marketing for Oxbo Fruit. “AutoFill is a game changer for berry growers. It’s all about enhancing productivity and reducing labor reliance during harvest.”
AutoFill’s impact on blueberry harvesting is expected to be important, offering significant efficiency improvements and reduced labor costs for growers. For a firsthand look at the new technology,
