Acreage owners looking for lawn or garden sprayers to transport in an ATV or UTV have one in Demco’s mounted sprayers.
For ATVs, the units come in 14- and 25-gallon (52- and 94-litre) tanks.
Both tanks come with a 15-inch spray gun with adjustable nozzle, and 15 feet of hose for hand spraying applications.
Customers can decide between two booms for the 14-gallon model.
One is an 80-inch boom with two nozzles. The other is a 12-foot boom with four nozzles.
On the larger ATV unit, that increases to four nozzle options.
There’s a 12- or 18-foot boom.
Each is equipped with 1.5 floodjet tips and has an application rate of 10 gallons per acre at 4 MPH.
There’s also a 21- or 30-foot boom.
These truss T-booms have vertical and horizontal boom breakaway and 20-inch nozzle spacing.
Additional options for both models include mounting hardware to place two tanks on one ATV.
UTV owners can choose between three tank sizes.
Those are 40, 60, or 80 gallons (151, 227, or 302 litres).
These units fit in the back of a UTV with enough room to close the tailgate.
The tanks are constructed with molded-in baffling for better product agitation, and a sloped bottom to support complete drainage.
Each can be customized with either:
- An 80-inch boom with two nozzles and 40-inch spacing,
- A 12-foot boom with four nozzles and 40-inch spacing, or
- An 18-foot boom with six nozzles and 40-inch spacing.
Each unit can also be equipped with a boomless option.
“If you’re spraying in areas where you’re concerned about hitting your boom into a fence line or trees, (there are) two nozzles that shoot out,” said Benjamin Vande Griend, director of sales with Demco.
Additional options for the UTV models include a hose reel with 50 feet of 3/8-inch hose to use with the existing hand sprayer. There’s also a lawn & turf gun with a #3 nozzle available.
